North Belfast Play Forum – Waterworks Sport

North Belfast Play Forum is a not for profit registered charity that was established in 1995 to cater for the needs of children and young people living in the North Belfast area.

The NBPF main objectives are :
-Increase participation levels among all sectors of the North Belfast community
-Target specific groups which are currently under-represented
-Enhance personal development opportunities for young people in North Belfast
– Strengthen the infrastructure in North Belfast
-Train, employ & deploy locally qualified coaches within their own areas
-Use sport/activities as a medium to improve quality of life.
The organisation has a wealth of experience in undertaking programmes, initiatives and activities that help assist young people in leading prominent lives within their community and developing their educational, social and personal capacity through a range of sporting, recreational and culturally diverse programmes.
We provide a significant service for the local community (and children and young people specifically) considering the extensive disadvantage and socio-economic issues experienced by a large portion of residents and the need to develop programmes and initiatives to help address the impact many of these problems. NBPF has been at the heart of advancing youth engagement in sport/activity in North Belfast for over 20 years, also, we are a N.I Project of the Year Lottery award winners.
