Employers For Childcare

Employers For Childcare is a charity and a social enterprise whose mission is to support parents with dependent children to get into and stay in work, by addressing childcare as an economic and labour market issue, as well as a social one. The charity is the leading organisation in Northern Ireland campaigning for investment in childcare to support families and the childcare sector, through its policy, lobbying and research work. It also includes the Family Benefits Advice Service which provides free advice and guidance on childcare and work-related issues to parents, employers and childcare providers.
The work of the charity is funded through the organisation’s Social Enterprises, which include the UK’s only Social Enterprise Childcare Voucher scheme and High Rise, an inclusive, accessible adventure centre in Lisburn aimed at families and the corporate market and including Northern Ireland’s largest Clip ‘n Climb indoor climbing arena, soft play, sensory rooms and meeting rooms/event space. High Rise offers organisations the opportunity to visit for team-building experiences or to use its meeting rooms and event space. 100% of the profits from High Rise are invested to support the work of the charity, which, to date, has identified more than £100 million in financial support for families across the UK.
