We aim to support people in our community in a practical way who are facing homelessness and the risk of homelessness against poverty, crisis, isolation, and mental wellbeing. We work voluntarily to help break the cycle of poverty in our community with our social café (with charity shop) where people can meet and also avail of our food bank and social groups. We primarily serve those on benefits and in need of emotional support. We address local issues of loneliness, isolation, addiction, drugs, and help disadvantaged people in need to overcome their problems and family situations. These are some of the most marginalised at-risk men, women and young people who experience social isolation, poor physical and mental health, low educational attainment, and are in receipt of benefits or low-income working poor.
Something More is also a base for the delivery of personal support, counselling, and personal development to people in need who are facing the risks of homelessness including young people who are sofa surfing or facing housing instability due to domestic abuse, etc
