The Resource Centre Derry was founded in 1974 to serve the individual, social and community needs of the greater Shantallow area and the wider needs of City. Over the years the Centre has developed a portfolio of services and activities which are focused on meeting the multifaceted needs of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged Our aim is to provide an effective and efficient range of services within the Outer North to meet the expressed and perceived needs of the economically and socially disadvantaged and other vulnerable members of our society. RCD will continue to also focus on the needs of older people. and people with disabilities, enabling them to retain independence while respecting their dignity and individuality through the following partnerships and services.
