| Profile: |
At The Advantage Foundation, we have one mission: To create positive change in challenging environments by unleashing the potential of marginalised young people. With Employability and Enterprise at the core of what we do, we offer and run accreditied Training Programmes, Social Enterprises, tailored support and unaccredited training, such as workshops. We identify the needs of our beneficiaries by regularly assessing community needs through focus groups, surveys, and monitoring feedback and evaluation of our current projects. We put people first, utilising a lived experience, co-design approach, so our services are meeting people where they are at. Currently, we have two live projects. Firstly, Ravine, which is our flagship project and base of operations. Ravine is a Community Project operated by The Advantage Foundation which offers 20 completely free and tailored work experience placements per year to young people aged 18-24 facing mental health challenges, based around their own personal needs and aims. Secondly, we are running STEM Start. STEM Start is a schools-based programme designed to inspire young people to explore STEM, sustainability and future career pathways through hands-on learning and enterprise. |
