Streetbeat is a youth project situated in the North Belfast area that works with young people aged 11-25 years. Our motto is “Helping Young People Fulfil Their Potential”. We provide counselling and mentoring services, groupwork, self-development and volunteering programmes, drop in and detached youth work sessions, employability assistance, study placements, parent support, community events, intergeneration and social action projects, outdoor pursuits and we have staff that contribute services in 5 local post primary schools. We are funded by a range of funding bodies for both short and longer term contracts. As a registered charity we often find ourselves with a shortfall in funding for specific programmes or costs and assistance can be invaluable to the variety and consistency of services we are able to provide, our young people, their families, the local community and the development and wellbeing of the staff team.
