Profile: |
Storehouse exists to be a transformative community that breaks down barriers and releases hope. We do this through the provision of practical resources such as food, clothes and furniture. We run a wide variety of programmes creating opportunities for anyone to step out of isolation into a positive, supportive community. These include our weekly breakfast club, baking & creative arts classes, football, pottery and much more. We also aim to provide opportunities for people to inspire or unlock passion and engage in activities that enhance wellbeing, growth and development. These include english language classes for those seeking asylum and refuge in our city, an 8 week photography class, employability classes and guitar lessons. We also run a housing project, providing homes with a wrap-around support service to those who have experiencing homelessness. We place a high value on Hospitality, Significance and Hope. Hospitality – We believe in creating safe spaces of welcome where the stranger is received as a friend, regardless of background or status. |
