Profile:

Sense Hub Belfast supports children and adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, complex needs, and sensory impairments, including deafness and blindness. It provides a fully inclusive, person-centred environment where everyone can learn, create, and thrive. Through its Adult Social Enterprise model, the Hub empowers participants to gain skills, confidence, and independence across five key enterprise streams: Woodworking, Crochet and Knitting, Arts & Crafts, and Horticulture/Gardening. These workshops enable individuals to design, produce, and sell high-quality handmade products and plants, fostering creativity, teamwork, and pride. Income from sales sustains the project, promoting long-term stability and community impact. The Hub champions accessibility, equality, and inclusion through adapted communication, accessible spaces, and sensory-aware environments. By focusing on ability rather than disability, Sense Hub Belfast builds confidence, supports wellbeing, and creates meaningful opportunities for all, proving that inclusion and enterprise can thrive together.
