Gasyard Development Trust

For over 30 years, the Gasyard Development Trust who own and manage the Gasyard Centre has been the leading force for community development, creativity, cohesion and resilience in the Brandywell and Bogside areas. Our impact is recognised across throughout the city through many of our outreach programmes.

Built from within the community, we have grown into one of the region’s most trusted community institutions, delivering arts and cultural development, youth services and programmes, autism-inclusive programmes, health and wellbeing initiatives, women’s leadership pathways, environmental regeneration, education, employability and peacebuilding. We mentor and support organisations and provide Financial Services and Facilities Management to other groups through our Circular Economy Initiative.
Our work reaches every demographic and is embedded in long-term relationships, lived experience and a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths of this city. We are a constant presence, a cultural and social anchor and a proven partner capable of delivering high-quality, strategic and measurable impact.
Our recently, award winning, refurbished and extended facility that houses 11 rentable spaces and a first of its kind ‘Peacemakers Museum’ has become a recognised landmark of inclusive design significantly strengthens our capacity to host and deliver training, community engagement, digital innovation and multi-agency programmes within our facility.
