Profile: |
Forward South Partnership is an independent charity that works with community, schools, business, public and private sector partners to help regenerate and sustain a healthy and prosperous South Belfast. We are part of a citywide structure known as the Belfast Area Partnerships who have led community regeneration initiatives over the past 25 years. Forward South Partnership believes that there is a wealth of skills, knowledge, and capability in communities across South Belfast. As advocates of asset-based community development, we aim to facilitate others to come together to develop and deliver services which address gaps in provision. In doing this we are supporting the collective voice of community organisations in South Belfast, enabling all of us to lobby and advocate for those who live and work here. The structure of the organisation echoes the Community Planning structures which are in place in Belfast and across Northern Ireland. By having representation from local government, the community and voluntary sector and key public sector bodies, Forward South Partnership is able to model community planning approaches at a local level. This collaborative approach enables us to make a difference for the people of South Belfast. |
