FOCUS (Forum in Omagh for Community Understanding and Support) is a community development charity established in 1995, working across the Fermanagh and Omagh District to strengthen communities, reduce inequalities and create lasting social impact. We manage Omagh Community House, a shared community hub providing office accommodation, meeting spaces and support to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations. FOCUS works with public, private and community sector partners to deliver measurable Social Value outcomes. We help contractors fulfil Social Value commitments by connecting them with meaningful local opportunities that create lasting benefits for communities. We can support employment and skills through work placements, volunteering, mentoring, employability programmes, apprenticeships, digital inclusion and community training. We promote wellbeing through community engagement, health initiatives, arts, inclusion projects and volunteering. We strengthen ethical supply chains by linking businesses with trusted local organisations and encouraging local procurement and collaboration. We also support environmental initiatives including repair and reuse projects, community clean-ups and sustainability activities. With over 30 years’ experience, strong local partnerships and extensive community networks, FOCUS provides practical support to design, deliver and evidence Social Value activities that leave a genuine and measurable legacy. |
