FIT (Fast Track into Information Technology) is an all-island charity focused on creating pathways into technology employment for people who are underrepresented in the labour market. With more than 25 years’ experience delivering industry-led digital skills programmes, FIT works in partnership with employers, local government, and community organisations to support inclusive access to careers in technology.
In Northern Ireland, FIT delivers employer-led digital skills academies and technology apprenticeship pathways designed to address skills shortages while supporting people into meaningful employment. Working closely with key funding and employer partners, FIT has successfully delivered bespoke programmes in areas including AI in the Workplace, digital skills, cyber security and software development.
FIT’s approach combines technical training, employability support, mentoring, and direct employer engagement to help participants progress into sustainable careers. The organisation has developed strong outcomes in retention, learner engagement, and progression into employment.
As a registered charity, FIT supports organisations seeking to deliver measurable social value outcomes through public procurement and community investment activity. FIT works collaboratively with employers to create inclusive recruitment pathways, support underrepresented groups into employment, and deliver practical skills and employability initiatives aligned to local economic needs.
