Profile:

We are a cross-community partnership for the Erne East D.E.A. In Fermanagh with premises in the market town of Lisnaskea. Established in 1999 our main project from 2002 has been the establishment and running of of the Oak Healthy Living Centre.

In the intervening years the centre has had 211,000 beneficiaries to programmes and secured a total of £7.7ml funding for health and well-being based programmes. A strong volunteer base of 100 plus volunteers assist us in delivery of health interventions. The organisation holds regional contracts from the Public Health Agency for suicide prevention, falls prevention, chronic pain and smoking cessation. We run a drop-in facility for addictions and mild mental health. a community first responder scheme in cooperation with N.I.A.S. , Lisnaskea Men’s Shed, Memory Lane Club (Living Well with Dementia), Mental Health initiatives and Well-being programmes, family and childcare programmes. We work with a range of organisations and sign post for further support and counselling with many partners working out of our centre.

In 2023, we purchased a derelict supermarket with the intention of developing a community health hub for the Erne East area. Plans have been developed to house our existing services and to develop social economy projects to contribute financially to the charity and ensure future sustainability. We are seeking support in this transitional period as our big idea is realised.
