Charis Cancer Care

Charis is here to help people, on their cancer journey, by offering complementary therapies, counselling and other practical support such as nutrition programmes, benefits advice, yoga and mindfulness to help them cope better with the impact of cancer and its treatment on the lives of the person with cancer, plus their loved ones.

People come to us before, during and after their medical treatment, with a range of issues, such as high levels of anxiety, difficulties sleeping, financial worries, struggling with the side effects of chemotherapy and other treatments and coping with an altered body image. This can have a massive impact on their physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

People often tell us that it was the support they received at Charis, that helped them to “get through” their cancer experience, to feel human again and to be able to focus on rebuilding their life.

The difference we aim to make includes:
