| Profile: |
CAUSE is a peer-led mental health carers organisation supporting individuals and families impacted by serious and enduring mental illness across Northern Ireland. Our organisation is uniquely shaped by lived experience, with staff who have direct experience of caring for a loved one with mental ill health. This insight underpins our approach, ensuring our support is empathetic, credible, and rooted in real understanding. Our services, including 1-1 support, peer support, awareness training, and community outreach, are designed to reduce stigma, improve wellbeing, and strengthen community connections. We work directly with carers who are often isolated or overlooked, ensuring they have access to the information, support, and networks they need. CAUSE is committed to delivering meaningful social value by empowering individuals, building resilience, and enabling people to actively participate in their communities. Our work contributes to improved mental health outcomes, reduced isolation, and stronger, more inclusive communities. We collaborate with partners across sectors to maximise impact, ensuring that the voices of carers shape service delivery and influence wider systems of care. |
