Cara-Friend is a leading LGBTQIA+ charity in Northern Ireland supporting individuals and communities through inclusive services. It delivers youth work and regional youth services, providing safe spaces where young people can connect, build confidence, and access support. Its schools and education programmes, including an LGBTQIA+ Inclusive Schools Charter, work with educators and students to promote inclusion, reduce discrimination, and create safer learning environments. Mental Health and Wellbeing services offer early intervention and one-to-one emotional support, particularly for vulnerable young people, helping them feel heard and access further care when needed. The charity also provides capacity-building to strengthen LGBTQIA+ organisations by improving skills, knowledge, and sustainability.
