| Profile: |
Brothers Autism Social Enterprise CIC (BASE) is a Northern Ireland-based social enterprise delivering autism-informed community programmes and specialist training services. BASE exists to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, and strengthen inclusion for autistic and neurodivergent people, particularly those facing barriers linked to disability, rural disadvantage, poverty and exclusion from employment and community participation. We deliver structured, sensory-safe group programmes (creative workshops, peer support, and confidence-building activities) alongside evidence-led CPD training for employers, community organisations and statutory partners. BASE’s work supports improved accessibility, safeguarding practice, reasonable adjustments and neuroinclusive environments across communities. As a Social Value broker, BASE offers measurable outcomes aligned to public sector priorities, including community wellbeing, volunteering pathways, employability-focused skills development, and improved participation in shared community spaces. Trading income is reinvested directly into local provision, ensuring long-term sustainability and community benefit. BASE has demonstrated strong social impact and delivery capacity, including recognised practice in equality, inclusion and community engagement, supported by robust governance, safeguarding, and evidence-based monitoring and evaluation. |
