| Profile: |
Ballymagroarty Hazelbank Community Partnership (BHCP) is a well-established community organisation rooted in the heart of Ballymagroarty. We lead on health and education initiatives across the area, delivering high-impact programmes that address long-term unemployment, poor mental health, and social disadvantage. The communities of Ballymagroarty and Hazelbank rank within the top 20 percent of the most deprived areas in the UK, with neighbouring Coshquin facing additional challenges such as transport isolation and limited access to essential services. Despite tight resources, BHCP continues to respond to local need with innovation and determination. We are currently spearheading a major new community build on Ringfort Road, which will serve as a modern, accessible hub for health, learning, and community development. All of our work is guided by and aligned with the strategic objectives of the Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) Local Community Plan and the Outer West/Foyleside Neighbourhood Renewal Action Plan, ensuring our efforts directly contribute to long-term regeneration and wellbeing in the area. |
