Join the Social Value Unit, together with the Department for the Economy, for a 1 hour webinar to look at the benefits of implementing circular economy principles in procurement.
Wednesday 3rd December from 12.00pm-1.00pm
What is the session about?
We’re living in a time of growing environmental and economic pressures – from climate change and rising energy costs, disruptions to global supply chains and the impact of single-use plastics. In public sector procurement, clients and society expect us to respond to these challenges and deliver responsible solutions.
Products and materials must be used more efficiently and kept in the economy for much longer. To move to this Circular Economy approach, we need to reconsider the way we buy, use and manage goods and services. Circular procurement isn’t just about purchasing differently, it is about using our spending power to reduce waste, extend the life of products, and support innovation that delivers long-term social, environmental and economic value for our communities.
